For this Beverly Hills estate, the objective was to create a cohesive lighting system that enhances the property from front to back—highlighting its architectural elegance, defining outdoor living areas, and introducing a warm, inviting nighttime presence.
Each area was treated as its own environment while maintaining a seamless visual flow throughout the property.

Site Evaluation & Design Strategy
A comprehensive evaluation of the property revealed multiple distinct zones, each requiring a tailored lighting approach:
- A symmetrical front yard with mature trees and structured hedges
- A backyard designed for entertaining, including a pool and lounge areas
- Intimate garden corridors framed by trellis and dense greenery
- Functional spaces such as a sport court and driveway area
Our strategy focused on:
- Layering light to create depth and dimension
- Highlighting vertical elements such as trees and vines
- Enhancing architectural textures including brick, stone, and wood
- Ensuring smooth transitions between functional and ambient spaces
This approach allowed each area to feel intentional while contributing to a cohesive overall design.
Lighting Design & Installation
Front Yard & Architectural Lighting
- Uplighting was used to accent mature trees, creating height and visual drama
- Soft wash lighting enhanced the home’s façade and architectural details
- Hedge and ground lighting defined the entry while maintaining a clean, elegant look
- Fixtures were positioned to guide the eye naturally toward the home
Backyard & Pool Area
- Evenly spaced uplights were integrated along perimeter greenery to create a soft backdrop
- Ambient lighting enhanced the pool environment without overpowering reflections
- Seating areas were subtly illuminated to maintain comfort and usability
- Lighting transitions were carefully controlled to preserve a relaxed atmosphere
Outdoor Fireplace & Lounge Area
- Focused uplighting highlighted the brick fireplace, emphasizing texture and warmth
- Surrounding greenery was softly illuminated to frame the seating area
- Low-level lighting maintained visibility while preserving an intimate setting
- Contrast between light and shadow added depth and character to the space.
Garden & Trellis Dining Area
- A focal uplight was positioned at the base of the mature tree to highlight the canopy
- Trellis structures and surrounding greenery were softly illuminated to enhance texture
- Light levels were carefully controlled to avoid glare and maintain a calm ambiance
- Fixtures were discreetly placed to preserve the architectural integrity of the space
This created a private, immersive environment ideal for evening dining and relaxation.
Side Yard & Perimeter Lighting
- Ground-level uplights were installed along vertical greenery to create depth
- Narrow beam lighting emphasized plant structure without overwhelming the space
- Pathway illumination was kept subtle to maintain a clean and uncluttered look
